UK Astronomy Conventions

Below is a list of the astronomy conventions or meetings I know of that are organised in the UK.

Astronomy Festival.
Held at Hertsmonceux Astronomy Centre in Sussex in the summer.

Bluedot Festival.
This Festival, held at Jodrell Bank combines Astronomy Talks and Music.

European Astrofest.
Organised by Astronomy Now Magazine.
Held in February at Kensington Town Hall.

BAA Winchester Weekend.
As well as the annual Winchester weekend, the BAA also organise other meetings throughout the year.

Federation Of Astronomical Societies.
Conventions are held at a different location each year, usually at a very reduced rate for FAS member societies.

Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival.
Held at the Observatory Science Centre in Sussex in the autumn.

International Astronomy Show.
Held in the Midlands in October each year.

North West Astronomy Festival.
This astronomy festival will be held in Cheshire on October 24th & 25th in 2020.

Practical Astronomy Show.
A free event, covering all aspects of practical astronomy, usually in March.

RAS National Astronomy Meeting.
Summer meeting of the Royal Astronomical Society.

SAGAS Annual Convention.
Organised by a group of societies south of London.

Society for Popular Astronomy.
Organise a Preston Montford Weekend Course as well as quarterly meetings in London.

Solarfest.
Gathering near Dublin all about the Sun.

South Downs Dark Sky Festival.
A day of talks and trade stands on the South Downs.

South West Astronomy Fair.
A day of talks and trade stands held at The Norman Lockyer Observatory, Sidmouth.

Webb Deep Sky Society.
Held alongside their AGM, trade stands and talks on deep sky objects.
