It makes it quicker and a lot easier for beginners to process images.<br \/>\n2. I did not capture any calibration frames for this camera at the time.<br \/>\n3. To prove a point, especially to beginners starting to process images, that calibration frames aren&#8217;t always necessary to produce a reasonable image. When taken carefully, calibration frames can help tidy up an image, but bad or poorly applied calibration frames can ruin an image.<br \/>\nYou&#8217;ll still get a decent image without calibration frames if your data is good.<br \/>\nOnce you&#8217;ve mastered the basics of processing, you can start taking and applying proper calibration frames to further improve your images.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\"><strong>Errata<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\nThank you to those who pointed out a couple of mistakes I made in my first print run.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Page 40, line 2 should read:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8220;If <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Noise<\/strong><\/span> Xterminator is not installed, go to Noise Removal Below.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Page 44, line 1 should read<\/strong>:<br \/>\n&#8220;The left-hand side of the line needs to be raised slightly, and the <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>right-hand<\/strong><\/span> side needs to be moved down.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thank you very much for purchasing my Pixinsight Image Processing guide.
