Description

This 48 page step-by-step guide covers DSLR and Webcam (colour and mono) imaging.

It shows how to stack multiple DSLR Images, using a long telephoto lens or a telescope, to reduce noise and create a much sharper image, as well as reveal hidden soil colour on the Lunar surface.

Webcam image processing shows how to add overlapping images to create full-disk mosaics, or take and process detailed surface features, and reveal fainter features along the terminator. The image is then sharpened to reveal more detail before saturating the image to bring out subtle soil colours.

The book covers use of the following software:
AutoStakkert! – For stacking and webcam videos.
Registax – For sharpening the stacked images.
MS ICE – For adding images together to build full disk montages.
Image Processing – To enhance the images further and reveal colour.
